Karen Carroll, President and Chief Operating Officer

Karen Carroll has over 25 years’ experience in customer service and staff management. Karen’s career spans across multiple fields including healthcare, non profit work, education and government agencies. Karen leads the day to day operations and among the many hats she wears, Karen brings the highest level of leadership which has allowed Cottage Caregivers to be prominently known in the community. Her multidimensional and multifaceted role allows Cottage Caregivers to be well known and well liked within the community as well as it allows the company to recruit and retain the highest level of Caregivers and match them to our clients and make sure we are meeting their specific needs. Karen’s efforts played a key role in leading the way for Cottage Caregivers to win Best Home Care Agency for 2017 by Senior Advisors. Her past work has included key roles as a YMCA Group Coordinator and Certified Yoga Instructor as well as a College Instructor in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Karen’s passion has always focused on helping people and supporting teams whose primary responsibility is helping others. Karen’s volunteer work has included Girls on the Run, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Flags for Our Veteran’s and the MYLE Group which offers Yoga sessions to physically and mentally challenged individuals.  Karen resides in Marshfield, MA with her husband Brian and her three girls Emily, Bridget and Molly.

Sean McDonnell, Founder & Strategic Advisor

Sean grew up on the South Shore residing in Abington and Marshfield all of his life with a small stint living in Ireland where is parents immigrated from Castlebar, County Mayo and Killarney, County Kerry. He is a graduate of Cardinal Spellman High School in Brockton and graduated from Stonehill College in Easton, MA. Sean has been passionate about community volunteerism, which includes, many years participating in and also driving fundraising efforts for the Best Buddies, Pan Mass Challenge (PMC) and Dana Farber charity organizations. Sean also volunteered as a Big Brother for the Quincy Big Brothers & Big Sisters chapter for many years and also coached youth soccer for his local community. As the Founding President and now a Strategic Advisor at Cottage Caregivers, Sean has always been committed to being an integral member of an organization which delivers the highest level of compassionate & professional home care. Sean resides in Marshfield with his wife Amy and their three girls Katie, Colleen and Michaela.

Amy McDonnell, RN, BSN, Founder & Strategic Advisor

Amy has been working in the Nursing field on the South Shore since 1993. A graduate of the University of Massachusetts Nursing Program she has worked in a variety of community based nursing roles. Her past experience includes working with patients in a rehabilitation setting at Braintree Rehabilitation Hospital as well as in home care through her work with the South Shore Visiting Nurses Association (SSVNA) where she worked closely with patients as an expert in the Oncology field. Amy also has a great deal of experience in community based Nursing with her work in her local school system. Amy’s volunteer work includes Meals on Wheels, Pan Mass/Dana Farber Fundraising efforts and teaching CYO in her community. She is a consummate professional who brings unparalleled compassion to all that she does. Amy resides in Marshfield with her husband Sean and their three girls Katie, Colleen and Michaela.

As an operating partner of the Deopura Family Group, Manish works closely with our entire leadership and management team to build on the agency’s strong foundation. With over a decade of experience in healthcare operations, organizational development, and leadership, Manish is dedicated to ensuring Cottage Caregivers delivers exceptional, compassionate care where our clients need it most. His background in healthcare and steadfast commitment to excellence make him an invaluable asset as we work to further establish ourselves as a trusted partner for families navigating the challenges of caregiving. Manish holds degrees from MIT and is deeply invested in making a positive impact in the communities we serve.
